Man versus woman smoking

According to statistics that are placed in different informational sources, beginning with written form till those online, smoking is unique obsession that are common practiced by both parts, men and women.

Today, it was touched equality not only in rights, but also in ration of smoking. There are still slightly more male smokers than there are female smokers (29% and 28% of all adults respectively).

For many, it becomes very interesting to understand why and how the rates had developed to today’s level and what the reasons of beginning to light up tobacco are.

So, let begin. First differentiation is that men are heavier smokers then women. Men have a tendency to smoker more cigarettes in one day then women. Also, men are adherents of tobacco that are rich and stronger in taste. The EU survey discovered that more than twice the proportion of female smokers (27%) smoke low/light or ultra-light tobacco cigarettes than men (12%).

Speaking about emotional part of the habit, women are more emotionally dependent than men. Almost half, 48% feel they are unable to cope without cigarettes compared with 35% of men. Women tend to think of cigarettes as their main source of pleasure and 48% smoke to give them confidence in social situations. This explains why women generally are feeling more dependent on cigarettes than men.

It is important to mention the difference of psychological and physical dependencies about tobacco usage of both parts. Women are in a way emotionally attached to smoking, while for men it is a more physical relationship. For example, women used to light up because they are worried, while man look at smoking as way to pass the time.

At question why women light up a tobacco product, one answer seems to be most widely exposed: women are more likely than men to use smoking because this gives them confidence in social situations and they are become more self-confident.

Estimating all presented datum, it can be surely affirmed that tobacco smoking, it doesn’t matter if it is practiced by women or men, remains an experience that aren’t revealed by any other existed activity. It is smoking because it is needed.
