Chinese "e-cigarette"

As for nowadays such terms as internet sale, web search, email commerce, online shopping become something known and ordinary, Chinese inventors tried to enrich the list of this worldwide idioms. Being inspired by same cybernation, they constructed an “electronic” cigarette. This king of smoking product is first in its origination.

Physically it doesn’t differ from an ordinary cigarette: same form and appearance. Single thing that make it different is that e-cigarette doesn’t contain additives and nicotine.

As it is know China is state that registered the biggest number of smokers. In this country there are around 400 million smokers. It can be nicknamed “smoking country”. It is a real problem for entire community. It can be presupposed that e-cigarette is all-out attempt to change Chinese view to something new and safer.

Golden Dragon Group Ltd's Ruyan cigarettes are battery-powered, cigarette-shaped devices that deliver nicotine to inhalers in a bid to emulate actual smoking.

“The nicotine is delivered to the lungs within 7 to 10 seconds,” said Scott Fraser, Vice President of SBT Co. Ltd., the Beijing-based firm that first developed the electronic cigarette technology in 2003 and which is now controlled by Golden Dragon.

.“It feels like a cigarette, looks like a cigarette, it even emits vapor. In many ways, it is like an actual smoking experience, and that's what makes us different,” he told Reuters.

China, Israel, Turkey, and a number of European countries become first from list where such cigarettes are available in sale. United States isn't in list, yet.

The e-cigarettes cost around 1,600 yuan apiece that in dollars is equal to 208.

This new smoking implementation seems to be a good idea, because it already showed positive results. Sales more than doubled to HK$286.1 million in 2006, after surging more than ten-fold to HK$135.6 million in 2005, a year after the technology was perfected.
