Three clerks were arrested by Loves Park police for selling tobacco products to minors.

Loves Park, also nicknamed "The City with a Heart" is a suburb region of Rockford Illinois in Winnebago County, Illinois, United States. In this city are located around 20,044 citizens.

Fact of selling tobacco products to minors is a very quotidian problem that needs verification as often as it is possible. Trade to non-adult smokers is problem that isn’t characteristic only to this region. It is one of international level. In order to make this problem to disappear or leastwise to diminish it in rates it is needed a treatment that must begin at certain region, but will show worldwide results.

Recently Loves Park Police performed a compliance checks in 36 local businesses last week. In general results were positive. Thirty-three businesses respect the law. According to a statement from the Police Department they refused to sell any tobacco products minors.

Even, it wasn’t so good for another three. Nicole Bryant, 24, of Casey’s Pub, 7307 N. Alpine Road, Mitzi L. Diverdi, 40, of Park Lanes, 5318 N. Second St and Jamie C. Hoffman, 32, of B.P. Amoco, 7924 N. Alpine Road were fined up to $ 750 for not respecting the law.

This case must serve as example for those that used to practice such type of businesses. And remember that additional some dollars can cost more, beginning with expensive fine till some years in jail. And don’t forget about children future.
