New smoking for Heaven

Soon, under an ordinance passed by the City Council restaurants and bars in New Haven will soon be able to decide whether to allow or prohibit smoking.

Smoking in outdoor areas owned by the New Haven-Adams Township Parks and Recreation Department was seriously disputed in latest council summit and again Monday night during a parks board meeting.

The parks board, which oversees land in Adams Township as well as land within New Haven, decided not to make a recommendation to the council and to let the council decide.
